Our exhaust systems are manufactured out of 409 Stainless Steel – 409 is a titanium stabilised ferritic alloy that contains chromium. While it doesn’t polish well, 409 offers a number of benefits over 304 stainless steel.
- More workable than 304, 409 bends/welds very easily with the right equipment. Important if you ever damage the system & must repair it.
- Better suited to high temperature applications, handles heat cycling well (rivers crossings, beach driving, wet/cold weather)
- Better resistance to vibration - less likely to crack than 304
- Offers high strength with good corrosion resistance.
409 may oxidise over time – this brown look is caused by chemical reaction & actually helps corrosion resistance. OEM car & aftermarket exhaust manufacturers are the main users of 409 due to it being the ideal for vehicle exhausts.

2021 VDJ79R DC
This is my second Outback Exhaust system, the other on my HDJ79R. Both times the freight was lightning fast, fitment was super easy, everything lined up, and both times delivered a great note! This system is not super loud due to the DPF but still has that deep V8 sound and a really decent note under acceleration! The chrome coating is super nice aswell! My previous outback exhaust has had so many comments I carnt keep count! great exhausts for a really decent price! Thanks heaps guys! Very Highly Recommend!!!

2020 79 Series Cruiser
Great product for the price. Simple installation and fitted perfectly even with under tray tool boxs and airbags. Sounds great (not to loud) and has opened it up a little. Thanks Paul

Landcruiser 79 series DC 2017 model
3.5 " 409 SS DPF back no muffler had easy to follow instructions, packaged well to prevent scratching or damage, took about 7 buisness days to arrive. The tone was very sutle to start with and has become meatier since soot has lined the inside. Noted a small increase in response from the 1800 rpm mark through. All in all good product for the price. Foot note. I fitted a pedders gvm upgrade and behind wheel boxes first. The clearance is close to both the box and the leaf spring. not enough the touch when flexed but still talking 3-4mm. Be sure you are going to fit first.
